Video Marketing Key to Success

I attended another great meeting about internet marketing. This time it was the local chapter of Glazer-Kennedy Marketing. Here are some tips I picked up at the meeting:
  • Tip #1 - Video searches account for 75% of all searches on the internet! Last year it was 54%. Does that tell you something about the importance of using videos?
  • Tip #2 - Mass market to the affluent. It takes as much time and effort to market your product for $19.95 as it does to sell a $5,000 workshop. Find out what the affluent want and market to them.
  • Tip #3 - Implement fast. It's more important to take action than it is to get it perfect. Action is the name of the game.
  • Tip #4 - Start by giving something of value first without expecting anything in return. Don't sell on the first communication.
  • Tip #5 - Leverage what's hot. Check your local news for the latest cool thing, and associate yourself with that. For example, do a book or product review for something hot like the Apple iPad. It can get you traffic and positioning fast.
  • Tip # 6 - Stories sell. Interview your customers and use their testimonials about your products and services. Or tell stories yourself about how people are using your products and services. Capture them on video.
  • Tip #7 - Clarity of vision. Be clear about what you want and where you're going. Remind yourself often. Become attractive to what you desire. Don't ask for anything that doesn't benefit others.
